Greetings, artists and makers! My apologies if this comes off looking like spam. I'm not used to trying to advertise things, but some friends have suggested that I give it a shot.

Anyhoo, here's the spamish bit: There's a steampunk convention going on in San Jose during Memorial Day weekend. It's called Clockwork Alchemy. I'm in charge of recruiting artists for the gallery, so I figured I'd ask around here and see if anyone is interested. There is no charge to display your work in our gallery, but it is subject to a review process. We don't allow the artists to sell their work in the gallery, but we do encourage them to include contact information to facilitate future sales. Hello there, I have submitted artwork about a half dozen times and they all expire without getting approved. I have seen that the club is active and new art is being posted, so it's not a dead club thing. I was wondering if there is a different way you want me to to contribute art? I have a lot of steampunk related work I would love to share.

Germany's 1. Steampunk Festival "Aethercircus" is looking for pieces oft art for their Steampunk art exhibition. The festival takes place on April 28th and 29th in Stade, Northern Germany (near Hamburg).

Paintings, drawings, collages, artistic photographs and other media are possible and of course similar subjects too, like steam fantasy, Dieselpunk, neo victorian...

Taking part in the exhibition is free for artists, yet you should be at the festival yourself in order to put your painting on and off the walls.

Deutschlands 1. Steampunk Festival "Aethercircus" (28./29. April 2012 in Stade, Norddeutschland) sucht noch Kunstwerke für die vor Ort stattfindende Steampunk Ausstellung (z.B. Malerei, Zeichnungen, Collagen, Fotomontagen, künstlerische Fotografie).
